This Victorian piece is from a chapel on the Herefordshire - Welsh Borders.
The simple design includes curved-crossover ends, one of which is embellished with a naive cross.
The solid Oak has been lightly waxed, and the pew is in very good condition; there is however, one area where there is evidence of the pew being cut or scratched quite deeply (please see photo) This does not detract from the quality of the piece.
Dimensions: L 180cm (just under 6') x D 45cm x H 80cm, HS 42cm
